Product Introduction

   River Rock Stone Panels are large-format prefabricated panels that replicate the shape, texture, and feel of natural pebbles using polyurethane (PU) or composite materials. Each panel is pre-formed with multiple irregularly sized and arranged simulated river rocks, with the mortar effect between the stones also integrally formed. The product is designed to replace the traditional manual river stone wall masonry process, providing a lightweight, quick-installation, and uniform-effect wall decoration solution.

   The product is suitable for scenarios such as building exterior walls, courtyard walls, water feature backdrops, building plinths, and indoor feature walls. It is particularly ideal for projects that aim to achieve the visual effect of natural river rocks but are limited by weight, construction period, or structural bearing capacity.

Fiberglass mesh cloth, used for installation in high-wind areas or irregular curved surfaces to improve flexural strength.

Edge Details:

  •    Left and Right Sides: Tongue-and-groove structure for horizontal positioning and alignment.
  •    Top and Bottom Ends: Stepped lap joint to prevent rainwater backflow.
  •    After installation, a 3–5 mm shadow gap is naturally formed between panels, simulating the mortar joint effect of real masonry stones.

5.Installation Instructions

5.1 Substrate Requirements

  • The wall must be flat, dry, free of dust, and free of oil stains.
  • Applicable Substrates: Cement mortar walls, concrete walls, old tile walls, old paint walls (adhesion needs to be confirmed).
  • Uneven areas must be pre-treated with leveling mortar, with a flatness deviation ≤ 5 mm / 2 m.

5.2 Adhesive Materials

   It is recommended to use polyurethane hybrid structural adhesive (such as similar products from Bostik and Sika). The adhesive coverage area should be ≥ 85%.

5.3 Installation Steps

  • Gluing: Apply structural adhesive evenly on the back of the panel, with at least 8–10 glue points per panel and continuous gluing along the edges.
  • Positioning: Paste sequentially from bottom to top and left to right. Align the tongue-and-groove.
  • Fixing: Tap lightly with a rubber hammer to ensure full contact of the adhesive. The stepped lap joint between the upper and lower panels naturally forms a gap, no additional gap is needed.
  • Curing: Avoid rain or external impact within 24 hours.

7.Frequently Asked Questions

   1.Is the surface of the river rock panel non-slip?

   The surface contains quartz sand aggregate, with a measured wet slip coefficient ≥ 0.6, which is higher than the 0.5 required for outdoor ground, ensuring safe walking on rainy days.

   2.Will it fade with long-term outdoor use?

   Mineral pigments are mixed into the coating rather than printed on the surface. After 1500 hours of QUV testing, the color difference ΔE=1.8, with no obvious fading after more than 10 years of outdoor use.

   3.Can it be cut into special shapes or drilled?

   Yes. It can be cut with a woodworking jigsaw equipped with a tungsten carbide blade. The cut should be sealed with color-matched sealant to prevent moisture from entering the core through the cut.

   4.How to handle panel joints?

   The tongue-and-groove + stepped lap joint design results in a joint depth of only 3–5 mm, forming a natural shadow gap. If sealing is required, outdoor-grade low-modulus polyurethane sealant can be filled.

    5.How to obtain samples?

   300×300 mm actual panel cut samples are provided free of charge (freight collect). The minimum order quantity for bulk goods is 300 square meters.
