Large rooms with hard ceilings and glass often suffer from flutter echo that makes speech hard to follow. This fireproof MDF slat baffle panel is built to break up that reflection while meeting the fire safety standards commercial spaces require.
Fire retardant treated MDF forms the rigid backbone of the panel.
A felt lining sits behind the slats to absorb rather than bounce sound.
Machined wood grain slats give the surface a finished, architectural look.
A sealed top coat resists scuffing and simplifies routine cleaning.
Standard panels measure 2400mm by 600mm at 21mm thickness, with a 27mm slat width and 13mm gap spacing. Custom widths up to 1220mm and thickness options between 15mm and 25mm are available for projects with specific coverage or depth requirements.
The board core carries a Class B flame spread rating under ASTM E84, making it suitable for corridors, lobbies, and other spaces where fire code compliance is required. Formaldehyde emission stays within E1 limits, keeping indoor air quality within safe residential and commercial thresholds.
A range of wood tone veneers and solid color options keep the fireproof core visually consistent with the rest of a wood slat product line, so it can be specified alongside non-rated panels without a visible mismatch in the finished room.
