A TV Wall Built from Full-Height Dark Brown Boards

A television needs a backdrop that frames it without competing with it. Tall boards in a deep brown grain do exactly that: the dark, even tone lets the screen sit comfortably within the wall, while the fine natural grain keeps the surface warm when the TV is off. Run from floor to ceiling with slim gaps between boards, the wall becomes a quiet architectural feature rather than a plain backdrop.

Shadow Gap Joints

The thin dark lines between boards in our sample photo are natural gap joints. Each board stays flat and separate, and the narrow gap between them casts a fine shadow line that emphasizes the vertical rhythm of the wall. The look is crisp and contemporary, and it also makes small differences in board edges less noticeable than they would be on a tight seamless joint. Other joint styles, including seamless, T-profile and I-shaped, are available if you prefer a different look.

Planning Your TV Wall

1. Measure the wall. Note the height, width and any openings, then choose board lengths of 2.44 m to 3 m to match your ceiling.
2. Choose the layout. Decide how many boards will run across the wall and where the gaps should fall, ideally with the TV centered on a board or a gap.
3. Plan the TV mounting. Fix the bracket into the wall structure behind the boards, not into the board alone, and ask your installer to confirm the method for your wall.
4. Add lighting. A concealed LED strip along the top, as in our sample photo, adds a soft glow that brings out the grain.

The Grain and Color

The face is a dark brown with subtle lighter flecks and a fine, slightly open grain. It reads as a rich, natural timber from across the room and as a delicate pattern up close. The sample board has a softly rounded corner and a pale, layered edge, which shows how cleanly the board can be cut and finished.

Beyond the TV Wall

The same boards work behind a bed as a headboard wall, along a hallway, or in hotel rooms and offices where a warm, dark backdrop is wanted. Because the boards can be grooved on the back for sharp corners or heated and bent for curves, the wall can wrap around a corner or a column in one piece.

Other Warm and Dark Tones

If dark brown is not quite right for your room, the wood grain series offers lighter and warmer tones such as birch, yellow oak and antique oak, as well as deeper shades like burmese rosewood.

Ratings and Care

The board is E0 grade for environmental performance and B1 grade for flame retardancy, which suits both homes and commercial interiors. The surface resists moisture and cleans with a soft, damp cloth.
