PS Wall Panels Explained in Plain Language: What Are They? Are They Right for My Home?
Lately, a lot of people have been asking about something called "PS wall panels." There's tons of info online, but after reading it, you still don't really get it.
Don't worry. Today I'll answer three questions in plain, everyday language: What are they? What's good about them? Should I buy them for my home?

Isn't it just a piece of plastic?

Yes, the raw material is a type of plastic. But don't imagine a washbasin or a plastic stool.
PS wall panels have printing and embossing on the surface – that means wood grain, stone texture, fabric patterns are printed on, and then a machine presses in a raised, textured feel. So your eyes see wood, your hands feel wood – but it's not actually wood.
Why not use real wood? Because real wood hates water, hates humidity, and is expensive. PS panels don't mind water, don't mind humidity, and cost about half as much.
What are the real benefits for my home?
Benefit 1: Cheap
A living room TV feature wall costs about $30-50 in materials. That's thousands less than solid wood wall panels, and also cheaper than tiles.
Benefit 2: You can install it yourself
No need to hire a pro. You just need a utility knife, a caulking gun, and a tube of neutral silicone. We'll send you a video – watch it once and you're ready. Finish one wall in half a weekend and save $100+ on labor.
Benefit 3: Not afraid of water
Humid spring weather, bathroom moisture, kitchen grease – none of it bothers PS panels. No mold, no peeling, no warping. Just wipe with a damp cloth.
Benefit 4: No formaldehyde
Safe for homes with kids, pregnant women, or elderly people. No smell after installation – no need to air out the room.
Benefit 5: Looks good
Wood grain, marble, fabric, 3D patterns, fluted lines… almost any style you can think of. The finished look isn't like a cheap rental – it looks like a designer did it.
So what are the downsides? I should know those too.

To be honest:
Not fireproof: It's plastic, so it will burn if exposed to an open flame. Don't install it directly behind a gas stove. For normal home use it's fine, but don't hold a lighter to it.
Fades in sunlight: Long-term direct sun will cause fading. If you have a south-facing window, use curtains.
Scratches: A sharp key can leave a mark if you scrape hard. Normal use is fine, but don't purposely scratch it.
If you can live with these downsides, then PS wall panels are right for you.
Can I use them in my home?
Good places:
- Living room TV feature wall, sofa background
- Bedroom headboard wall
- Kitchen backsplash (away from open flame)
- Behind bathroom vanity (dry area)
- Balcony wall (not in direct sun)
- Rental apartment wall makeover (removable when you move out)
Not recommended:
- Inside the shower (constant direct water)
- Directly behind a gas stove (high heat and flames)
- Outdoor patio (sun and rain)
- Uneven old walls (if you don't prep them first, panels will lift)
Plain English summary
PS wall panels are boards that look like wood or stone, aren't afraid of water, have no formaldehyde, and you can install yourself. They don't cost much. They're perfect for ordinary people who don't want to spend a lot, don't want to hire workers, but still want their home to look good.
If you're on a budget and want to upgrade your home's look, they're worth considering.

Q1: Where is your factory located?
A: No. 10-1 Lianhong Road, Yuanhua Town, Haining City, Zhejiang Province, China.
Q2: Can I really install them myself? What if I'm all thumbs?
Yes. We'll send you an installation video. You just need to cut paper, squeeze glue, and use a level. If you're still nervous, ask a friend to help. It's way easier than hanging wallpaper.
Q3: How do I clean them?
Just wipe with a damp cloth. For grease stains, add a little dish soap. Don't use steel wool.
Q4: Will they smell like plastic in the bedroom?
No. We use virgin material – no irritating smell. If you do smell something, it's either recycled material or cheap glue. Just buy good panels and good adhesive.
Q5: Will they become brittle after a few years?
In normal indoor use, they last 5–8 years. Only recycled material becomes brittle. When you buy, ask "Is this 100% virgin material?"
Q6: I want to buy, but I don't know how many panels I need.
