3.Specific Installation Process — Five Steps to Complete

• Step 1: Base Treatment (about 1 hour)
  Clean the floating dust and oil stains on the wall. If the base is not flat, simply repair it with leveling mortar. No special reinforcement is needed.
• Step 2: Panel Pre-arrangement and Cutting (about half a day)
  Pre-arrange the PU stone panels according to the wall size and mark the positions that need to be cut. Use an ordinary woodworking electric saw or jigsaw for cutting. The panels are very light and can be easily taken and adjusted by one person.
• Step 3: Gluing and Fixing (core step)
  Evenly apply special structural adhesive (PU stone special adhesive or high-viscosity nail-free adhesive is recommended) on the back of the PU stone panel. Press the panel in the predetermined position, and at the same time reinforce the edge and middle of the panel with an air nail gun or stainless steel screws. About 6–8 screws or air nails are used per square meter.
• Step 4: Gap Leaving and Caulking (about half a day)
  Leave a natural gap of 2–5 millimeters between panels (imitating stone joints). After all panels are fixed, fill the gaps with supporting flexible caulking agent or neutral weather-resistant glue and smooth it with a scraper.
• Step 5: Cleaning and Delivery (about 1 hour)
  Wipe the residual glue or dust on the panel surface with a damp cloth. No curing is required, and the next process can be carried out directly or put into use.

   For a 30-square-meter wall, two ordinary workers can usually complete the entire installation (including cutting and caulking) within 3–5 days. The same area of natural stone takes 10–15 days.
